Gilgo Beach, 2012

The ‘Ocean Parkway Serial Killer’ has left at least ten dead bodies along a short stretch of dense brush on Gilgo Beach, Long Island. Shocked by the media underreporting of the victims’ identities as individuals in favor of the label sex workers, I walked the dunes and made casts of the prickly grass and barren landscape – sites from the media that forensic detectives combed for evidence.
